The Pine Belt division embraced Delta’s Core Value to: “Love our communities and families” by identifying and contributing to a non-profit organization that makes a remarkable impact in the lives of families across Covington, Forrest, Jasper, Jeff Davis, Lamar, and Wayne counties. We’re honored to support and spotlight the remarkable efforts of Edwards Street Fellowship Center, located in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Pine Belt team members Albert Williams and Eric Holmbeck recently toured the facility with Executive Director Ann McConnell and were astounded by the range of essential services Delta’s contribution will support.
Nourishing the Community: The Food Pantry, a cornerstone of their efforts, extends a helping hand to over 2,000 families each month.
Special Touch: “Happy Birthday” bundles, created by a local youth group, add a thoughtful touch to monthly celebrations for families visiting the food pantry.
Comprehensive Healthcare: Medical and dental clinics provide vital healthcare services and serve as a beacon of hope for those without insurance.
Caring for Every Need: Edwards Street addresses the diverse needs of the community with a diaper bank, a supply of personal care products, and even a pet food bank.
Thrift Store Empowerment: Their thrift store offers quality items and serves as a lifeline, with proceeds supporting their mission.
Community Connection: Beyond material support, the Center fosters community through weekly faith and fellowship Bible studies, providing spiritual nourishment.
A shoutout to the Pine Belt team for “Standing on Business,” as the kids on the internet say these days! Together, we’re Building Stronger Communities by investing in organizations that serve the greater good. ▲
