Delta Industries, Inc. is pleased to announce its purchase of the ready mix concrete division of Metro Materials, Inc. in Memphis, Tennessee. Metro had operated its concrete plants in the Memphis market since 1975, and owned plants in Memphis and Cordova, Tennessee, along with a future site in Hernando, Mississippi. These operations are being combined with Delta’s existing Tri-State Ready Mix operation, which previously operated plants in Olive Branch and Byhalia, Mississippi.
“This acquisition continues our tradition of extending our reach to serve our customers in the region, and solidifying our position as a leading player in the markets we serve,” said Delta’s President and CEO, Dave Robison. “With this acquisition, we are positioned to serve the entire greater-Memphis market, and will be operating approximately 40 ready mix trucks in the area to serve our residential, commercial, paving, highway and other customers. We will look to provide excellent service and quality to the Metro customers, as we continue to expand our offerings for our existing customer base.”
Tri-State Ready Mix is a division of Delta Industries, Inc., founded in Jackson, Mississippi in 1945. Delta owns and operates more than 40 ready mix concrete plants and sales yards throughout Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee and Louisiana.
